2020 Year In Review

2020 has been quite a year, Ducklings. We are thankful that our team has made it through the year safely.

Evil Quacks works with a diverse team and acknowledges that many of them faced hardships this year through no fault of their own. We are thankful that all of our Evil Genusies have made it to the end of the year safely.

What did we set out to do?

This year our goal was to revitalize the studio. We lost a few of our founding members due to life simply requiring more of their attention. When it comes to running a start-up indie studio, we understand. We understand the challenges we ask our Evil Genusies to face every day they finish their day jobs and still come online to work on our projects. For some that can be too much. It is not a lifestyle for everyone and everyone deserves to find a lifestyle that fits their wants in needs.

After the exit of most of our founding members, we were faced with a decision; do we end the studio or do we rebuild?

We chose to rebuild.

What did we accomplish?

We accomplished rebuilding and restructuring our studio.

We examined our active project with a critical lens and pushed for changes.

We rebuilt the core systems of the project from the ground up to ensure the code was up to date with the latest practices.

We launched our podcast, The Pondcast, on Google, Spotify, and Itunes. We're already almost ten episodes in!

We taught ourselves how to edit and promote our Podcast.

We launched multiple ad campaigns to expand our audience.

We filed for our own LLC and completed that filing! We're now officially in business.

We drafted contracts and a light business plan for our studio.

We brought on fresh talent to help us revive the project.

Ducklings, we have done so much this year and it's only the beginning. We have successfully brought life back into Project S.A.M and the studio. We've adjusted the schedule to support our Evil Genusies so they have a better work-life balance between this and their day time jobs and personal time.

Where do we go from here?

We continue onwards, Ducklings. It has been quite some time since we've been excited about Project S.A.M but with all these changes and progress being made we can honestly say we're excited. We're excited to watch our Twitch channel grow so we can communicate with you all in a more personal manner; especially since we all know we're not great at writing these posts on a timed schedule. We're excited to hear more from you all about The Pondcast and how it made you think about the industry differently. We're excited for so many things to continue. We're excited to see where they lead to. We couldn't have done this without your support. It means so much to us when our ducklings join us on stream, quack at us on Twitter, or just listen to our content. From our EVIL hearts to yours,

Thank you Ducklings. We'll see you next year.
