Madame EVIL once again here to provide you a weekly update on what we've been scheming about in the #PondLair
When's that #PondCast Coming?
If you have kept up to date with the previous podcast of ours called "The Fine Feathered & The Fowled" then you may already know this. BUT! In case you haven't and are scratching your beaks trying to figure it out, allow me to fill you in to this diabolic podcast of ours...
What does it mean to be Fine Feathered?
Well frankly, ducklings, we're too EVIL to abide by traditional definitions but it's important to know your enemy.
Fine Feathered was often used as a complimentary term that suggested a person was well-dressed or in...good...spirits. However, here at EVIL Quacks, we believe this to be an insult! After all Ducklings, we encourage you all to be your best EVIL selves.
For our podcast, the games that are Fine Feathered are games that are praised by the community in such excess that it overshadows the gameplay itself. If we take a critical lens to the game we actually uncover some core problems with their design that may have been ignored due to the overwhelming hype and praise for the game.
So the Fowled is then...
The Fowled is not only a fantastically EVIL pun-after all puns are the EVILest form of humor- but also represents the opposite of the Fine Feathered. Games chosen for this category are games that we believe to have been unjustly criticized by the community on launch. Some of these games may have been so fowled that they had to close down!
Sounds EVIL but when's it releasing?
Well ducklings, it takes quite a bit of time for us to play through and analyze these games before sitting down to record it. Currently, we're playing through our first Fine Feathered game. I won't reveal the game yet because I think it will surely ruffle some feathers.
We're holding our first meeting on that game on March 28!
How's Project S.A.M coming along?
So far so good ducklings! Our new EVIL affiliate and the occult master has been doing research and laying out a base structure. If you haven't introduced yourself to him yet check out his first blog post here!
Meanwhile, I've been adding in more missions but also going back through and adjusting the previous values, "remembering" more choices, and cleaning up some grammar.
Here's an updated picture of the current story flow:
There are quite a few clusters going on there but overall it is cleaner than what it looked like previously!
Anything else Madame EVIL?
We are still scheming out future plans, but with the world in a state of Pandemic not caused by any respectable EVIL methods, we're unable to schedule or plan any future events, conventions, etc at this time. However, we are lucky that we all already work remotely here at Evil Quacks so our development won't be impacted.
